In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan

in defense of food

I am finding the book  In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan to be very educating. It answers many of my questions about “what is healthy to eat?” The book spends ample time explaining why it is important, crucially important, to buy locally (farmers’ markets, food stands, local farmers and growers) grown food.

Michael is in Madison Wisconsin at the Kohl Center 9/24/09 7:00 PM.  He is also the keynote speaker at the Food for Thought Festival, in Madison,on 9/26/09 at 10:00 am.
